- Provides resistance in all directions rather than just one or two like on land
- You burn more calories exercising in water than on land (cool, huh?)
- It is easy on your back if you normally have back pains

Wonderful Water
Since I took the class this past spring, I have been LOVING water aerobics. Fortunately they offer classes at the Provo and Orem rec center, and I went to my first class of water aerobics at the Orem rec center this week. Here are some great facts about water exercising:

I remember doing a lot of running on the indoor track at BYU while I was there -- but the track was laid over cement, which was torture on my shins. After a good run, I would limp to the pool for a little leg soothing -- gently kicking around in the water until my shins sorted themselves out a little. Water exercise is definitely more gentle on the body structure.
